RE: CONSUMER COMPLAINTS/CONSUMER SATISFACTION AND SCAM COMPLAINTS ISSUED BY CONSUMERS WHO PURCHASED JACK LALANNE JUICING PRODUCTS VIA www.powerjuicer.com/Operated as official site of TRISTAR PRODUCTS INC.

Per a Jack LaLanne infomercial, my mother purchased a juicer via her Visa Select Card on November 24, 2008. Confirmation by TriStar and www.powerjuicer.com of shipment of product was issued on November 28, 2008. However, merchandise was never received and delivered to the shipment address provided to TriStar. Since this was to be a holiday gift, I went online to view that status of my order via UPS following my shipment confirmation. On December 11, 2008, I contacted TriStar/www.powerjuicer.com and thier customer service department regarding my order. I became concerned when I saw that there had been no movement of my order via the UPS Tracking system. On December, 11, 2008, I was asked by Tristar and its' customer service agent for the Tracking number and order number of my juicing machine. I issued both to the agent and was told that my machine was in Hudson, New York and that my purchase would arrive in a few days. I waited for a few days and contacted the customer service department again and was told the same thing.

On December 30th, I called UPS and its' customer service line directly since the UPS website still showed no movement on my order. According to the UPS representative, my shipment was lost and there had been no movement on my shipment since December 4, 2008 where it listed Bedford, Illinois as its last known origin. The UPS representative was not pleased that TriStar Products and its customer service representatives did not issue a claim with UPS and that I was told on two seperate occassions that my shipment was in Hudson, New York - it obviously was not in New York State.

On December 31st, a call was made once again to TriStar Products and its customer service department to inform them that I had not received my merchandise and to place a stoppage on my mother's VISA SELECT card for merchandise not received. The customer service agent informed me that she could not refund my mother's VISA SELECT card although UPS had admitted to losing my shipment. The agent informed me that if my mother did not continue to pay on her monthly VISA SELECT statement, despite non-receipt of the juicer she ordered that she would be placed in collections. I immediately notified VISA SELECT and their DISPUTES DEPARTMENT regarding my mother's bill and I have been told by their representative that my mother's dispute on charges issued by TriStar and www.powerjuicer.com was valid and requested the order and tracking number of my shipment. A future block of any additional charges incurred by this company has been placed on my mother's VISA SELECT. The block was placed following another conversation with a customer service representative from TriStar when it was stated that another juicer was being sent to replace the one lost, even when I indicated I no longer wanted the item. I was told that another juicer had to be sent and would need to ship it back to them in order to receive any type of monetary refund. However, no tracking or shipment information or e-mail confirmation has been forwarded to me to indicate that another juicer is on its way. I have no way of tracking this new juicer nor do I have any indication as to when this will arrive, if it arrives. I have been instructed to keep the VISA SELECT DISPUTES department aware of any new developments regarding this company. I do not want my mother's card billed for another juicer.

I am filing this claim because I was unaware of how many consumer complaints have been issued against TRISTAR and its' representation of www.powerjuicer.com. It has only recently come to my attention in researching this company online, that I am aware of the numerous complaints by cosumers who purchased Jack Lalanne products via www.powerjuicer.com as represented by TriStar Products, Inc. that TriStar is a bogus company that lists its adress in Pennsylvania per its DBA and that there is no way to contact the company directly regarding complaints and problems. I have listed my complaint on the complaints board.com - where several other consumers have experienced shipping and other problems when purchasing Jack Lalanne products from TriStar and www.powerjuicer.com. If you go to the website there is no contact information listed. There are also individual complaints similar in nature to mine listed on several other sites as I googled TriStar Products, Inc. and Jack Lalanne+Complaints.
