I had bought tickets to the Yankee game March 6 for my son, his wife and kid. Tickets were a birthday gift. That same day, the family's 12 year old much loved cat suddenly got very sick. They brought her to two different vets, but she died at around 6:30 PM, 30 minutes before the Yankee spring training game. I was trying to change those tickets since 5:30 PM because I knew they wouldn't want to go out to the game while they were worried about their cat. I called FYE twice, which is where I'd bought the tickets. FYE's manager at first DENIED they sold tickets for Ticketmaster, which is a flat out lie. Then FYE bounced me over to Ticketmaster, claiming they couldn't change my tickets--only Ticketmaster could. Ticketmaster bounced me back to FYE.

I called Ticketmaster 3 times and FYE twice that night. While they jerked me around for almost 2 hours, nobody got to use those tickets, and my son was cheated out of the birthday gift I bought for him. I wrote a letter to Ticketmaster's Customer Care office in Charleston, WV, and today I got another dissmiss letter from one of their flunkies that basically said we can't refund your money. As I explained in the letter I wrote to both Ticketshyster and the Mall Manager where the FYE store is located, I DID NOT request a refund. I requested, over and over again, to EXCHANGE the tickets for another game on another date.

While these corporate muggers jerked me around, the clock was ticking, and 7 PM came and nobody got to see the game. I would think my $96 might be worth very little to a behemoth like Ticketmaster, and if they would have been gracious enough to change the tickets my son never got to use for three tickets for a different game, that would be priceless in terms of building good customer relations. But no.. Ticketmaster is a robotic megalopoly and it doesn't give a d**n about building relationships with its customers. It eats customers. It will never get my money again. Neither will FYE. They will get plenty of free publicity on my blog
