Complaint Review: Thomson Inc.

Thomson Inc. They have failed to take responsibilty for a tv that has needed 3 repairs in less than 2 years. Indianapolis Indiana

I bought a RCA Scenuim model #HD50LPW175 from Best Buy in Merced CA 7/06. In 10/07 the lamp went bad and a board the total repair was $490. It is now broken again this time a color wheel the total repair is $450. The TV was originally $1300 + tax. I have called then number in the booklet that came with the TV and was calling the Phillipines.

The only response I got was the TV is out of warranty. I then went online and found #'s within the US. I was told no one could help me write a letter. Which I did 10/07 and still have not gotten a response. I was assured by staff and supervisors that I should have. Well I did not. I was told by the repair man that he gets calls about these TV's alot and RCA never helps the customers.

It should also be noted that Joe Smith in the Phillipines (yes that's correct); Sarah and Victor (the officer in charge) all claimed they had no supervisors. That they were the bosses. I am stunned that RCA is not going to back their product and leave a customer paying large repair bills when the customer already paid good money for the TV to begin with. I have never bought an RCA TV until this one and I can say I NEVER will again. I'll try the letter again but certainly won't hold my breathe waiting for a response.
