I was shopping around for a vehicle and went to a used car lot in my area. I found a wonderful Chevy Blazer and thought it would be great. My boyfriend and I went through the process of getting our credit approved and borrowing money to put down the down payment of $1500. This was on a Sunday. We left the truck there for the poeple to fix some minor things that that were part of the deal and I was scheduled to pick it up at 6:00pm on Monday. We went to the dealership on Monday around 7:00pm and the man, Moe, said that it was not complete yet...to come back at 8:00pm. I came back at 8 and it still was not finished, finally the man said I could take it. The truck wouldn't start. They said the batterydead, so they put a new battery in. I drove it to my house that is approximately 5 minutes away. Tuesday I got in it to drive to work and it wouldn't start. I was in a rush so I just took another vehicle. I tried calling Moe all day and no one would answer the phone. Wednesday we jumped the truck, thinking the battery was just dead and I drove it to work. The entire way it kept dying on me. My work is about a half an hour drive from my house, so this problem caused me to be very late.

When I got home from work that night I told my boyfriend what had happened driving to and from work. He said that we would take it down to our mechanic the next day to take a look at it. I said okay. On Thursday, I called my boyfriend from work and said that we shouldn't have to fix the piece of s**t, that the dealer should. Once again our calls were not being answered.

On Friday morning I was starting to get very irritated. I finally got in touch with Moe and explained to him what was going on. He started to be rude and yelling at me, so I yelled right back. He told me to bring the truck in right now. I told him I was at work and that I couldn't just leave and get all the way home to drop the truck off to him. He basically said too bad. I called my sister-in-law and asked her to take it to him and she said okay. When she went there Moe started telling her it was the battery and just trying to give her the run around. He said he didn't have a mechanic t o look at it right then. In the meantime he kept calling my work. I ended up being sent home because I was so upset. I told Moe I just wanted my money back and that he could have the truck. I took it over there late Friday again and he had some mechanic there. He told me the man would fix it and I would get it back asap. After hearing nothing from him Saturday, Sunday, or all day Monday, I was pissed off. I called the car lot and a man said Moe wasn't there, I called again in 5 minutes and a different guy said he wasn't there. Five minutes later the mechanic calls me and says he hasn't even gotten a chance to look at the truck yet, but he will that night. Five minutes after that I call the dealership and Moe answers and says he just got in and talked to the mechanic and my truck will be fixed withing a half hour. I said that was bullshit because I talked to the mechanic five minutes ago and he hadn't even looked at the thing yet. I told him to keep the truck and ,give me my money back. He argued with me on the phone for fifteen minutes until he finally told me to go pick up the money.

I left my house within five minutes and was there about ten minutes after I had talked to him. moe was rude and started yelling at me minutes after I had arrived. i told him that I didn't want the lemon of a truck he sold me and to give me my money. Anyways, he wouldn't give me the money and we yelled back and forth for an hour. When he called me a b***h I really snapped. It ended up he would not give me the full amount and instead of $1500 I got $644. He said I still needed to pay the registration, taxes, and smog. He forced me to write a note saying I wouldn't sue him. He said that if I didn't write it I wouldn't get a penny out of him. I don't think that I should have lost $850 for a vehicle I never drove, not to mention the stress it caused me,and the time I lost at work!!!! Is there anything that I can still do to get the rest of my money back?
