Complaint Review: The Pet Place

I have been to this "business" a couple times and each time I've been there I am disgusted. First off, as you walk down the stairs it smells so horrid that you literaly have to hold your breath for as long as possible. There is always some kind of food thrown around the cages and the animals are not healthy looking at all.

I don't anything about animals and even I can tell that there is something wrong. For instance, they have a room of lizards, snakes, spiders, and frogs. The lizards are the first thing you'll see when browsing and after you see them you won't want to look anymore. They have a tank of leopord geckos which are so sad to look at. Most of them are so scrawny that you can literaly see their backbones. One always has his one eye shut and they all look deformed. If you question why they are so small the employees are very rude. The woman was extremely rude when she was just asked if she worked there!

I called a animal hotline for abused or neglected animals when I had only seen one gecko like this, now two months later, there are more and they obviously have done nothing.

Something needs to be done about this, coming from a non-animal lover, I believe they should not be treated this way and the owners, or older employees should learn how to at least fake being kind.
