While I don't want to relive my moving nightmare in every detail, suffice it to say my wife and I were recently 'scammed' (a real classic) in an interstate move by National Moving Network and Classic International, Inc. - to the tune of ~ $9000.00!!

(See http://www.movingadvocateteam.com/HowitWorks.html to see how we were scammed - it happened **exactly** how this page outlines the scam).

In short, I filed a complaint against Classic International, Inc. with the DOT/Motor Carrier Division, (for hostage freight) and they basically said they could do nothing except take my complaint...

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE - ~$9000.00 later I finally got my belongings back....$7000+ more than the original estimate!
And as far as related moving laws are concerned, based on my experience they mean NOTHING to these companies, once they have your belongings, they got ya!!

I was advised by my attorney that the only way to get relief in a situation such as ours is to take the companies to court. This however, is not an option for us financially.

Where are our government agencies to protect the consumers victimized by this moving company?

Please, take action against these unscrupulous companies now!

I just submitted my ripoff report this morning. After searching through for other rip off reports, I just realized that BOTH classic international and Nationwide relocation are on the black list.

Once they move your items, they have you by the bxlls, You will NEVER see your items again until you pay WHAT THEY ASK FOR, if you wait, they will charge you for storage fees.

Like you said, the only way to secure your move is find a LOCAL moving company, single trip pickup and drop off without any stops and unloads in between. A binding estimated should be given so they can't RIPOFF you by holding your items hostage!!.

Be ware and read more of this sites moving report before making a decision.... don't make it a painful and costly one.... Best way to move is to do it yourself...
