I am a current employee of Terminix Call center, you know the people in Memphis when you think you are talking to your local office. Here is some advise that will help some in the future. When callinf, if at anytime you here "the ultimate protection more families rely on", you are not speaking with the your local rep. The local office hadles everything from name changes on the account to refunds and cancellations.

1-800-terminix take takes messages and sales calls. Nothing more is really done there. It may be referred to as the national office as well. Don't get me wrong, the cust svc reps in the call center are sending the messages, its our only job, pls don't lash out at us. When you want something done, there are specifics that we must here you say in order to inform higher authority, like you will contact the BBB, an attorney, media, ext.

When you want to set up svc, you are transferred right away, but what happens after you sign the contract and please read it first even if you have to call them back days later. But what happens is you call to request service and will be told someone will call you back in 24 to 48 hours. Maryland has the worse branches ever. In saying this, some branches do provide good services and they follow up with their customers.

Beware that your contract allows Terminix access to your home at anytime with or without prior notification, you are signing this without reading and we have to hear your complaints!! You have 3 days from signing the contract, to cancel, otherwise you are stuck for a year and you must call to cancel the acct at the end of the year or your service will continue without notice.

And the number 1 complaint we get is, being billed for exterior service only and the service guy did not treat inside. " I always get inside service", this has no meaning, the contracts are EXTERIOR GENERAL PEST CONTROL". The price is based on the ouside only, which some don't even get. Whatever you want make sure it is listed on the agreement even if it has to be written in before you sign it.

Well I hope this has helped some, those are some specifics that I think you all should know. Again we are told not to tell you that you have reached basically, an answering service, so ask questions and we will be forced to tell you, this helps save jobs because we really want to help but can only take a message.
