Complaint Review: Tempo Company Limited

I am uncertain as to whether you are able to provide support to UK consumers. As such, I would just give a summary of the matter and if it is of interest to you. Do contact me for further information.

I recently (September 00) purchased a computer system from a local supplier, Tempo Company limited via HP agreement, that they arranged. The software packages we dicussed and agreed to during the point of purchase were not met by means of the following: I received so software installed on the system, however no CD's or hardware drivers were given with the purchase. I queried this and was told that, I did not require CD's because they have a liscence to install. Yet they were not prepared to give me a copy of the liscence for my own records.

I followed this up with Microsoft who confirmed that, they did not indeed have a liscence and I was indeed a victim of Software Piracy.

To date I have taken this matter to the most senior management of the company, via recorded delivery mail, explaining my discomfort with the purchase, informing that I have never and do not intend to use the system and would like to return the item. (these correspondence were sent within days of purchase). To date I have not received a response from them other than to have the manager at the branch I purchased from say, "the company has an absolute policy".

In the meantime the "unused item", which did not meet my specification is stuck in my house and I would like is for them to take back their computer. Can you take this case?
