Taylor Gifts sent me an email requesting a review on the 3 expanding fence gates I purchased from them in the approximate amount $75 total with shipping. Since the products were substandard and advertised as pet or baby gates, I let them know that the splintered balsa-type wood was too lightweight and splintery to be safely used as advertised. They asked in two separate emails for me to write a review and I sent them both reviews with one star rating as nothing was offered at zero star rating.
Taylor Gifts never replied to me nor did they post either of my truthful reviews. When I brought up their website of reviews for my product, I noticed they posted 4 star or better reviews only and no reviews posted at below average, not only about the fence I purchased, but just about all of their catalog products showed nothing less than 4 star ratings. This looked suspect to me as other online catalog businesses have a variety of product ratings from 1 up to 5 stars all inclusive.
I have purchased from several different online catalog companies that posted all negative as well as positive reviews on their products to give the customers all pros and cons of their products. It was at this point that I realized that Taylor Gifts does not want truth in advertising or truth in the reviews of their products and I shall not purchase from them in the future. They have proven to me to be a company that does not take responsibility for truth in selling. Also, they make it impossible to contact them with issues regarding the lack of posting truthful reviews on their numerous catalog products. They never acknowledged a receipt or rejection of either of the two reviews they requested from me which I forwarded back to them via email.
