Summer's Construction owner, Shawn Summers, makes you feel like he is honest. He is not. Despite being told pricing was as simple as labor and materials  We were charged for hours they did not work, we did pay for our own materials but lumber and other items were overbought and or never brought.  We realized we were charged for hours that neither him or his employee were there. Had to tolerate foul and disgusting language with topics that were not appropriate one bit. He claims on a video he posted publicly he is LICENSED, BONDED and INSURED. After realizing it needed to be verified I discovered that he is not. IN FACT, he NEVER WAS! It was this video and others he did that seemed real that made me want to hire him. After what we witnessed, It's apparent that his motives are to obtain work by being dishonest and never intended to uphold any kind of claim. If that was not bad enough, discovering that he was obviously drunk before noon and the MESS all over from not cleaning as he worked, tossing his cigarettes one by one into my yard and and work truck that didn't even have doors he could get out of,  sealed the deal. He clearly didn't care about having that working how the HECK was I going to trust anything he was building. We cut our losses and asked him to leave with no explanation. This man wished he could actually be what he claimed. We should have known better. SHAWN SUMMERS! YOU ARE A LIAR, THEIF AND SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE. We had to hire someone else and went way over budget since his work was done wrong and had to be redone. It's been awhile since we ran him off but have encountered others that also feel that they were scammed. Unfortunately there is nothing to sue for. He has no insurance and apparently not much more then a old truck. No actual company. How do contractors get away with this?
