Sallie Mae sends an email saying you can get your credit report and score from Experian for $1.00.  You will be enrolled in a credit monitoring service unless you cancel within the first 7 days.

HOWEVER, when you click on the link to Experian/ConsumerInfo.com   you will find if you follow through and sign up---you will be billed for the $1.00 plus the first month's fee of $14.95, which is not refundable in full nor prorated, plus taxes, etc.

They will be getting $15.95 plus taxes, with no possibility of a refund on that first month's fee.

YOU CAN NOT SIGN UP FOR THE $1.00 AND SUCCESSFULLY CANCEL IN THE FIRST 7 DAYS AS STATED ON THE SALLIE MAE LEAD IN EMAIL.
