I took my slightly modified 2018 vehicle to Steve White Motors to figure out an issue with the steering. Once they diagnosed it as a transfer case I started to do some research online and found out that many many many of this same model vehcles were having the same issues right off the showroom floor. Jeep has a TSB regarding this information and several internal memos discussing the known issues with the parts failures.

Steve Whites head service manager, in an attempt to charge me for the repairs of a vehicle under warranty, has called the manufauture and told them that the warranty on my vehicle is voided. I verified through the manufacture that this warranty restriction was placed soley at the discretion of the dealer and the manufacture had no part in it and cannot overturn it.

This practice of warranty restriction is not only immoral but even Jeep regards it as wrong and the federal government says it isillegal. A modification to a vehicle does not exclude the entire vehicle from warranty coverage and any coverage denied must be proven absolutely to be the result of an aftermarket part.

When I told the service manager he was breaking federal law regarding the Manguson-Moss warranty act his direct quote, which i have on gopro video, was that "The Magnuson-Moss warranty act does not stand up in court"

I would suggest that no one go to this dealer for vehicle purchases or service as its obvious they are simply trying to play by their own rules and do not even care to follow the law or manufacturers guidelines.
