I recently had to go to my local Ohio BMV to have a change my to my car title.  My father was on the title because he had co-signed for the loan on the car.  I got the car paid off and wanted to get the car put in my name only.   Earlier in the month I had already renewed my car's registration  and chose the multi-year plan , which meant that I paid for two years registration.

When at the BMV, they issued me new plates and a new registration, but would not give me credit for that second year and told me I would have to pay for it again.  I can't believe they have no ability in their system to give you what you already paid for.

A word of warning, In Ohio, never pay for more than one years car registration at at time, because if you have to make any change at all to your title or registration, you will not get credit for that extra year because they do not issued refunds or give you credit for what you already paid for.
