I purchased Sprints local phone service when I moved into my first florida house. I had two roomates so I only purchased the local service. Later on one of my roomates made a long distance call anyways. When I called sprint said the only thing I could do was put a block on the phone. So I did.

About six months later AT&T gives me a great deal on long distance. I accepted. I had that phone line approximately six months. I was being charged for the long distance. But I never received. I called sprint repeatedly telling them to remove the block or what ever they had to do to turn the service on. It never happened. On top of that, I called sprint twice when I canceled the service. Requesting to return my long distance money, and to cut my service off. They would not return the money, they said it was At&t fault. They would have to return the money.

About two weeks later at my new house, I get a letter from sprint stating that someone is trying to turn on new service at my old phone number and that since I haven't called in canceling my service. The new service would be delayed a week to give me time to respond to them. Now two weeks later I get a bill for those two weeks. My phone number at that time was 407-767-1608.
