after watching SMC's ad on TV with tom bosley, the tv actor as their spokes person, we signed up for their basic membership with a credit card. we were then talked into purchasing their website for $ 5195.00 but we had to wire them the money which we did. we were told there was a 30 day money back guarantee and shortley after we did all this we saw they were not helping us to get started like they said they would or to get set up or to answer our questions so we cancelled within the 30 day period. we have returned all their material and now they are saying all they will refund is the membership fee but that the website is nonrefundable. When asked to fax us or mail to us this so we can see this agreement, they said we have to write their complaint department and ask for this in writing. this should have been provided to us up front. my husband read all material sent to us and there was nothing stating that the website was nonrefundable. they are riping the public off, they are a scam and stealing from the consumer. they need to be stopped and put out of business.

You can have the membership refunded because you had used a credit card, which means you could file a written credit card chargeback request. But I believe the money you wired to who-knows-where is forever gone. Why were you in such a huge rush?

News Flash: Reputable companies DO NOT ask you to wire money to them. A reputable company will transact using businesslike means.
