Soft Technology ? Said they were an authorized McAffee dealer and sold me McAffee Total Protection. But they kept calling me back and scaring me into buying more complete protection. Internet
I called a phone number that was presented to me on the internet as McAffee security. They told me that they were a company that McAffe used to service the brand and I just figured McAffee was outsourcing their delivery.
So I paid for the service for threeyears thinking that I was fully protected. But then I recieved a call from them that said my computer was in jeopardy. I talked to them for two hours before I finally succumbed to their BS and shelled out several hundred more dollars for additional coverage.
The last straw was today and they showed me how my computer had been hacked by someone in China and they would fix it and install more security for an additional $500. I said no. Then they told me that they would cancel my contract and keep my money and in addition charge me a $200 cancellation fee. Then I was convinced by all that the agent told me that I had been played. Their strong arm tactics with me today confirmed it.
I know I was used because I was so easily intimidated by things that I know so little about. Live and learn but they should not be allowed to get away with duping people anymore.
