We called Sears Carpet cleaning to get our Home carpet cleaned. I described to the Sales person how many rooms etc. and gave the best description, I could. They quoted me a Fixed price based on my description and also based on Sears having done this work for us in the past. There was no mention of requoting the price once they come to do the job. I prepared the house with everything removed from the floors (becasue I wanted them to do thorough job and didn't want any hassles).

The Technician Jeff Smith came in and started of by telling us all the things he will not do. Very loud and rude. He started measuring the house and came back with a new and higher price. I told him that we have a fixed price and it was also preprinted on the Invoice he was carying but he refused to honor that. He agrued with us for 15-20 minutes. I asked him to call his office and office told him to do the job for the fixed and preprinted price but he was not satisfied and kept arguing- at that point we told him to do what HE considers is covered by the fixed price or not do the job at all.

Finally he reluctantly agreed to do the complete job but said that he has to write a note on the Invoice warning us that we will be charged extra in future. (There will be no next time with him!!). He spent more than half an hour to get us to agree to higher price but took less than half an hour to do the actual job. We were not satisfied with his job or quality or attitude but did not want deal with him any more. Stay away from Jeff Smith! or this Sears franchise.
