This suspicous outreach has occured twice. The Email is from a potential client who is moving to the area and needs assistance ASAP with installation of house goods. The email is written by a woman detailing a photo of a house and street name and even photos of herself and kids. Her husband is an engineer or software developer and is relocating from Europe. The email is written in broken English, describes where she attended University (no name, just location), usually describes her family in detail and may mention that she is deaf and hard of hearing.

The email is very detailed. It generally includes what kind of HVAC the house was bought with, flooring, etc. It goes on to list exact items procured by her husband and needing installation. A certified check is the method of payment.

The referral is always cited as finding me on Houzz. I have emailed Houzz about the incident and have not heard back. I did not persue the bait, so I avoided somthing, I hope that you do too!!
