It seems that no matter what people do or say this company continues to abuse our community. What can be done to stop this? I'm a member of the Armed Forces and when one of our new troops rented from this company they stole an additional $500.00 from his account without his knowledge or authorization. Needless to say, the impact on the young man was significant. You see he is heading overseas in a few weeks and has minimal time or opportunity for legal recourse.

As you might expect the individual along with his supervisors attempted a number of polite conversations to resolve this matter. They were met with foul language, insults and threats from Al. Once it was brought to my attention, I called Sabans where I again attempted to bring this to resolution without legal action. As expected, my attempt went no where.

I was told that the individual I was speaking with was a lawyer from their legal department, which they do not have. I asked for his name and credentials and was called a moron and was told that I do not deserve to serve my country and that I should be a corporal...Darn Al, I wish I knew that 27 years ago... maybe I wouldn't have wasted so much time... as for the demotion, well we don't have corporals in my branch so it's hard for me do what you suggest... When you asked for my commanding officer, I gave you his name. Need any more names? I'll bet you could go through 20,000 officers and you'll be hard pressed to get anyone to agree with you.

When you called my commander and identified yourself as Dennis Saban the owner and attempted to tell my commander what his job iswell I bet you ended with the impression that he didn't place a lot of confidence in your advise. As for correcting metake a guessNeedless to say, my commander was reluctant to take Al's...ohhhh aaaa Dennis...aaaahhh the lawyers' advice.... Anyway, this is a very nice reiteration of the events.

Bottom line this company is a disgrace and will continue to rip-off our community until someone takes serious action...So Mr. Al...We are going to just that. I do believe you picked the wrong fight. Have you ever tangled with integrity? Better bring a lunch...see ya soon...By the way...We'll choose the battlespace cuz that's what we do best...Your friendly Armed Force's Moron Guy...

SABAN'S RENT A CAR FREQUENT RENTER

#2Consumer Comment

Mon, May 22, 2006

I've been renting cars from Saban's for about 5 years. They have helped me out of some tight spots when my car was in the shop and I needed to get to work. One thing I've noticed about some of their customers is that they aren't very smart. Some people don't even read their rental contract before they sign it!

When I sign a credit card voucher and hand someone my credit card and watch them swipe it, I know what that means. It means they can charge my credit card. I've been in their office before when people actually argue with them about that. They say they never authorized Saban's to charge their card.

Can you believe someone could be that ignorant? If you don't read your contract and freely hand over your credit card, you have no right to complain to Saban's for your own mistakes.
