I responded to a classified ad in the Phoenix paper for a work-at-home job, just something to supplement my income. I left my name and address on a voice message line, and received their letter and "application" a week later. I was initially skeptical of the ad, since it promised guaranteed wages of $1,380 per week, plus bonuses.

When I received the letter regarding the job of envelope-stuffing I was even more skeptical, for several reasons: The poor quality copy of the information. A long-distance hotline which I was told the call would only cost 25 cents. A $25 deposit to receive the materials, which would not only be refunded but tripled. My application was also to include 2 envelopes and 2 loose stamps. Their willingness to pay $1.40 per envelope I stuffed. The fact that they wanted the deposit in the form of a money order only.

Fortunately, I did not send my money, and therefore was not ripped off. Instead, my curiosity led me to this website where I found others who have been ripped off by these same people.

Now I remember the old saying, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." It would be nice if someone could stop these people, but at least your website kept me from falling victim. Thanks.
