ripoff from cars of yesterday. bought a 1963 lincoln continental conv. advertised as a show car in perfect condition car would not win the booby prize in a dairy queen tuesday night drive in
on april 24, 2001 I sent a check to Marv Freidman of cars of yesterday at 1900 s ocean blvd pompano beach fl. in the amount of $21000.00 for a 1963 lincoln continental convertable show car. The description show car was on their ad ebay dated 4/11/01 #579211813.The whole ad was the biggest bunch of lies I have ever had the misfortune of coming across.
When I received the car I had to spend $1933.33 just to get it N. H. safety inspected. I contacted and sent copies of the bills to Richard Hofberg and he called me and offered me a $1000.00 towards the bill if I would sign a release that he would email me.
When I got the release I refused to sign it because it stated that i could not be in touch with any of the other people Marvin Freidman & Richard Hofberg had screwed. Later on Richard Hofberg called me and upped the offer to $1500.00 as long as I didn't tell Marvin Freidman(talk about playing games)NO wonder honest used car salesmen have bad names.
The car is still not close to a show car(rust,noa/c topshot, half the windows don't work, chromeis all pitted s/s all scratched,hood ornement glued onto the hood etc etc etc.
These two should lose their dealer plates and be thrown off ebay. They are a disgrace to anybody trying to run a reputable business.p s I refused the $1500.00 offer

Freidman & Hofberg say the manifolds and mufflers must have been damaged in the enclosed trailer when the car was shipped from fla to nh. What a bunch of b s. How do you crack manifolds and put holes in mufflers big enough to put your fist in when you ship in a air ride trailer. Also in 2 days the car went from their description as a show car to a pig. Give me a break, I last 17000.00 on that pig.
