Headline says it all really.  Found a charge of $26.71 on my bank card.  That's what they usually charge people who don't return a video they got from a kiosk.  (I know this from friends - never had THIS happen before!)

Based on the date, I'm pretty sure we rented a movie but not the title they gave me - we've seen it at least twice before!  And we're pretty careful about returning the videos we rent the next day.  The kiosk we use is at our grocery store a mile away and we probably stop there for something three evenings a week, so...maybe late but ???

So I called customer service.  First rep put me on hold and after 15 minutes, the phone line dropped.  Second rep couldn't care less and probably isnt aware that I spend more than this much each year; she just stonewalled me.

Never again!  I won't do business with them anymore.  Gonna have to learn about Netflix!

Its what YOU as a consumer wanted. You didnt want human interaction when renting a movie. You didnt want to walk around a store as a consumer. Because of all of this, youre stuck with Redbox. Redbox KILLED the brick and mortar video stores. Now that they are dead all you have is services like Redbox and Netflix. Atleast with a physical video store you could have spoken to someone and had the situation resolved, but hey, this is what consumers wanted. Im betting right about now the idea of personal service while renting movies sounds REALLY good.
