I recently stayed at this Ramada INN and was told it had high speed interent. Low and behold, it did, in a little kiosk in the middle of the lobby, not the room. I travel with a laptop like many people and dial out using a local number so not to get any charges. I checked the phone placard and top right hand corner says "847" is local numbers. Nowhere on their cards does it give any fees for dialing local numbers.

Long story short I got to check out of my $70 room and have a $200 phone bill. The manager refused to speak to me at the front and sent one of her croanies out to speak to me. They said basically "Too bad" file a report with your credit card because we are not refunding anything.

This is a blatant FTC violation and I have filed with all agencies. I called Ramada direct and they said that since this location is an owner/operator they can't do anything except to suggest filing a claim and or court.

Ha, better yet, I will make sure everyone knows of their decptive practices and am building a website for travelers opinions and bad services. Not to mention the hotel is DIRTY, OLD and in a bad part of town. Do yourselves a favor and stay down the street as there are several other locations you can stay for a couple bucks more. Well worth it as it is what I do.
