I was having promblems at my job in mississippi so i decied to quit and find another one. I look in the paper and there it was "need a job? come on and be a hip hop traveler" so i said to myself this should be a good job for a minute so i contacted the number in the paper and the lady who answer the phone said we are a christian organization and we believe in helping young people be successful. So i took that in consideration that this would be a good job.

the lady who answer the phone told me that if i wanted to get hired that i would have to leave tonight and i ask her what do i tell my family she said nothing because they will be proud of you when they see how much money you will be making. so i said ok and call my best friend to see if he would he be instrested in going with me and it took some convincing but he agreed.

so that night we pack up and left everything behind to go to this place i never heard of before called Sumter, South Carolina we made it there about 1:00am and this lady who appeared drunk pick us up from the bus station and took us to the eagel inn which was a dump there was nobody there yet because we were told the they were on their way from work so i said to my friend what is it you think they do cause from the stink of the room and the looks of the clothes that was everywhere it look like we were going to be wearing neck ties.

after everybody got back they explained to us what they do so i am thinking it must be cool to do this in south carolina cause in mississippi its not. so the next day came and we were up by 7:00am pumping on our walky talky and geting ready for what seem like work but was the worst.we had a meeting at 8:00am to basiclly discuss who was not making sales and to bet on who would come back with the most money.

my first day on the job they split me and my friend up because they said if one of us did not like what we were doing then we would be an bad influence on the other.so after the meeting we go outside and i see a bunch of old tore up cars they made me get in a van with 13 other people and we were lap up all the way from the front to the back thats when i realize that i was ready to go home but it was not that easy we work from 9:00 until 10:45 at night knocking on doors

i was so tired and hungry from no break but a store break and could not believe that we had to do this everyday and if you did not sell this mess you were not paid a penny you were talk about very badly by the owners, had to work on Sundays, got put out with no way home it just did not make any since to me how they said keep a positive attitude when the made you fill like s**t.after being treated like a dog for a month and losing weigh i decied that i needed to come up with an excuss to go home but they did not want to hear that because they own you. you could not get caught calling home cause the said it would make you want to leave the company

so i use to use the phone at the jones house to call home and cry like a baby so my family can send for me. i was fed up of working in the rain, snow ,sleet, and hail and getting the cops called on me or the dogs of people who did not want to be bother told to attack me. this job was like the worst nightmare had came true and i was not going to take it anymore

I told them one Sunday morning that i was ready to leave and they said ok. so they drop me off in another town and left me stranded and scared for my life but later came and bought me a bus ticket because my family treaten to call the better business bereau now that i learned my lesson it was a lesson learned cause i was scared straight and now educate people on such job as pumppers
