I did not listen long, as I have had these calls before. I noted their number and hung up without speaking to them or calling the other number they gave me (which I did not note, but it had a weird 800 area code). I know this is a standard repetetive scam from different number each time, pretending to be Social Security and calling about possible fraudulent activity on your account.

Probably phishing for personal information and to defraud people who believe them.  I know they are basically NOT who they say they are, as SS has told us about these kinds of fraudulent calls and that they never call people, but use correspondence. I wish there was some way to stop them.
