Complaint Review: Polydor Records

I was email in Dec. of 2017 by a supposed A & R for Polydor Reords. So after talking with them for a while they sent me a contract that was the contract they were offering me with an advance pay of 30k. As an musician I was skeptical but still anxious as to if its real it will be the break ive been looking for. So according to the contract and what they were saying i needed to send $200 to Univesal Music Group in South Africa to some lady named Joanna.

I also had a few people look over everyhting that had knowledge about the music industry and record label business. I took the small risk sent the $200 didnt hear anyhting for a couple days they said there was a but of an issue getting the taxes situated for Europe and needed $200 more to settle everything for me to recieve everything. I told them that was BS and declined to send any additional money.

So now im back to square one hope for a break but im more educated know about everything after this. Im trying to warn and help other artist who may encounter this. If anyone has encountered this or may have more info be able to help please contact me.
