Complaint Review: Peek a Boo Auto Body

I took my car to Peak a Boo Auto Body 9 mos ago upon recoommendation of a friend.

For several months I called the shop and got no answer.  When I showed up several times no one was there.  When I called from a different number, the owner finally picked up the phone on a Monday. He promised the car would be done that Wednesday, 5 months later after calling several times he reassured me the car would be ready at the end of week. Again, call after call, no one is picking up the phone and no one is at the shop.

When I finally met up with him several months later, he assured me he had replaced the motor after giving him $900 and then was also charged another $300 later. 

After 9 mos of back and forth, I sent a tow truck to pick up the car.  When I looked under the hood, I come to find the cars engine was not replaced after being charged $1200 and my battery was missing which I had just replaced prior to taking it the shop.

I got another mechanic to look at it, and the number on the motor matched the title number, so this CROOK never did anything to my car and charged me $1200. 

Mind you, I am  single woman who was forced to find rides to work and deal with others picking up my child every day.  Which was a total inconvenience.

I also found out later that he has done this others as well.  He also does not give out receipts either.  This shop should be closed up and investigated for the scams they are running and the way they take advantage of people.

My name is on this report because I was victim and would like to save others the hassle of being scammed and ripped off from this man.  DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!  HE IS A TOTAL SCAMMER!
