I dropped off 5 bags of clothes for consignment at Peacock Consignment Boutique at Beltline, Calgary. These bags contained some used items, and other brand new designer items with tags. The staff told me that items that were too worn would be donated to charity and encouraged me to just have Peacock donate them to charity directly. I agreed as it all sounded resonable. Months later, I found out that the staff only "accepted" 2 items from the ~ 100 in the bags. All other items were apparently deemed "unfit to sell" and "donated to charity", despite many of them being brand new with tags. I feel that the staff are taking clothes for themselves or else selling it without informing paying the person who dropped off the items. I called the business and they told me "the items must have been donated". Looking at the reviews, many others have had this experience as well.
