There is a legitimate Computer software sales company called PC Sales Online.   The day after I bought my software, I get a call from from someone stating that they are from the same company of PC Sales Online, and that they noticed a multitude of warnings and viruses on my computer.   I called the original company that advised me that they would probably not call their customers, but the lady didn't speak Englinsh very well, so I was not sure I was getting a good answer from her.      The fraudulent guy stating he was from PC Sales online, continued to convince me that he should get access to my computer to clean up the viruses.  I stupidly let him get on my computer, and I even gave them my credit card info.

I started to get suspicious when he wanted to scan my driver's license from my printer.    Soon I get a text from my bank giving me some security code to verify that the transaction was from me.    The fraud guy asked me for the security code and I told him to go to Hell.

I turned off my computer and disconnected it from the internet, yet each time I re-opened my computer the fraud guy kept calling back and their program allowed them to get back into my computer even though I did not grant them access the aditional times.   I had my computer tech guy remove the bad computer access software, and I did not lose money, but luckily I caught them in time, because they were probably searching all through my computer for passwords, etc.

Trust me, the virus did NOT come from PC Sales Online.  The lady you talked to was correct.  You did the right thing by taking your PC and getting it cleaned up.  Talk to your PC guy about tweaking the privacy settings on your PC, and maybe get a virtual private network for yourself.
