Just Yesterday on 03/20/2020 I went to the O'Reilly Auto Part to exchange my 2004 Express 4.3 Distributor Cap and Rotter which had a lifetime warranty, after a search on the computer the associate told me that he couldn't find these items are on my purchase history, I asked the associate if his search is a local store or national search from all O'Reillys, he told me he search the national data result, he informed me that he does not have the authority to do anything, but the manager might be able, I waited my turn to see the store manager and I explained my situation to her she told me that she can't see this item on file, but if I have a receipt she will be able to help me.





This is not my first encounter with O'Reilly Auto Parts regarding a warranty they lost my business long ago since they make an excuse to not honor a warranty.

The previous encounter before this one was about a Blower Motor Resistor for the same vehicle I went to O'Reilly Auto Part on 1826 South Stoughton Road  Madison, Wisconsin to find out if my blower motor under warranty the associate told me I have 6 months left on the warranty,  I took it apart and went to O'Reilly Auto Parts 3451 East Washington Ave for a replacement they told me that they can't find this part under my purchase history for this part. I found out O'Reilly Auto Parts only search the local store purchase history therefor they can deny many warranties.

This is dishonest practice, They overprice so they can offer longer warranties. better honer the commitment and keep a national record search at all times.
