Complaint Review: ophthalmetry.com EFRIZAL PURBA

All seemed fine and even somewhat offended when I questioned their legitimacy but I was assured that they were an established and well respected company with a proud reputation for servicing the Ophtalmic Industry.

Following forwarding of a UPS packing slip with incorrect dimensions(smaller than the physical dimensions of the unit whicjh on questioning was dismissed as a standard format packaging arrangemnent ) I reluctantly transfered the balance of funds -strangely not to Sinagpore ( my second suspicion) I was advised that I should get the item within 1 week.

A week later and nothing arrived I emailed asking what was the staus of the shipping only to be told that UPS wanted too much and was going to take 3 weeks (yep thats right they supposedly had already organised shipping UPS) and Ophthalmetry advised me they had sent it Mazuma express so I would get it quicker.

The provided tracking details indicate it most have been shipped ocean freight as it apparentlt stopped at several ports before finally being seized as part of a drugs raid in Pt Moresby. According to the tracking details it was returned to Ophthalmetry who wanted another U$650 to refreight  it after I had already forked out an extra US990  a few weeks before supposedly for import duty and taxes.

When I baulked at paying any more I was advised that I would be better off to just accept a refund  which I happily agreed to but after providing details I am still waiting on the refund since December 2017. Of course all of my emails have gone unanswered and they are not contactable by phone.
