Office Max rebate ripoff Charlotte North Carolina

In October of 2001, Office Max ran a special on a 100 Pack of Hi-Val brand CD-R. Regularly $49.99, they had a $25 instant rebate and a $20 Mail-in rebate for a final price of $4.99.

I purchased the product and properly filed the rebate. In January of 2002 I still had not received the $20. I contacted the store and spoke to the manager, Debbie, who acknowledged a problem with all the Hi-Val items listed for rebate that month.

She took my info and advised she would handle. In April 2002 I had still not received the rebate. I have left 10+ messages for the store managers since 4/8/02 and none will return a call.

The product is of inferior quality to begin with and this simply adds insult to injury.

suggestion how to get your Hi-Val mail in rebate

I had a similar experience with the Hi-Val mail in rebate but after I went to their website (either Iomagic.com or Hi-val.com, it is on the mail in rebate form) I received an email pretty soon to confirm that they were working on it and another one that they sent out the check. After a couple of weeks I had the check in the mailbox.
