I have heard that some customers were given late fee waivers ( i was looking @ my acct online and wondered why i saw $214 in late fees waived) but they shouldnt have been charged in the first place. Also there were some concessions made for customers who filed bankruptcy or lost their homes. However, I like you am also totally opposed to this settlement. One because it does not address any of the issues that most ofthe people were complaining about. What about our payments that were never applied???? what about foreclosure and all the related fees we were charged on four separate occasions when our house was never up for foreclosure. What about charging us for certified letters they chose to send even when we didnt accept them??? How about late property tax payments, forced insurance and misuse of escrow funds???These are the issues I want to see addressed. the attorney who brought the lawsuit was probably an Ocwen employee also. Seems that Ocwen has everyone in their pocket including our government officials.
