I took my 1999 Honda Accord into the NTB at 8002A Research Blvd. at lunchtime on January 3, 2001, to fix two slow leaks in the two rear tires (NTB Invoice Reference # IN4913728.) While I was driving back to work THE SAME DAY the tire went flat. I had NTB come out and pick up the car to take it back and repair it, only to have them say that the tire was unrepairable, and that I'm the one that will have to foot the bill even though it failed less than two hours after they worked on it. It cost me $155.28 to replace the tire at another shop.

I have called and left messages with NTB District Supervisor Tony Valencia ((512) 448-0391) THREE TIMES over the past six days and he has yet to return my phone calls.

After doing research on the Internet, I find that NTB (just like it's owner, Sears) has a VERY poor quality and customer service record. Check out:

http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/national_tire.htm

where they say: "Like its parent, Sears, NTB is a heavy-duty complaint magnet. We get so many complaints bout NTB that we've had to break them up into sections..."

I would avoid NTB at all costs.
