Nick of Nino's Pizza (Alsip, IL) is a rude, cocky, arrogant individual who laughs at customers over the phone, has ZERO customer service skills, and even encouraged me over the phone to write this review.  So here I am.  I call there and ask to pay over the phone.  He said he wouldnt let me unless I was doing a delivery, but not a carryout.

His logic made no sense whatsoever.  It was like talking to a wall - I could tell he was very uneducated, but I tried explaining some common sense to him anyway.  What would the difference be if it were me picking the pizza up myself, or one of their drivers?  The card first has to get approved, then the pizza is made, boxed, and SOME human hand lifts it from the counter.  He had no clue.

Anyway, I asked for another manager and he yells to the back "don't make that pizza!" and hangs up on me.  I call back, and he tells me he is "the highest of the high" of managers, says he works 7 days a week, all day every day, and there are no other managers at Nino's like the liar that he is.

I have been going to Nino's when he was still in diapers.  Nino's just lost several customers - not just myself, but everyone who I have already told about who they choose as their "Highest of the high" and I have told everyone to keep this word going on how horrible Nick is to people.

Fraud?

"Robert" pretending to be a customer has no clue.  A stolen credit card??  First off, you wouldn't know its a stolen credit card until much later... And are you saying you have cameras inside to "know" who is using the card?  If so, wouldn't you be able to see who it is picking it up?

Nino's also a place that claims they can't afford to give free refills on fountain drinks because they use an "old fashioned" Chicago company instead of going through Coca Cola or Pepsi like everyone else.

Anwyay, I called Beggars, paid over the phone, and a friend of mine who was on their way to my house picked the pizza up hassle-free.  Just like any other pizza place would do.

Really?  It makes no sense as to why a business owner would not allow you to do a payment over the phone if you were going to come in anyways?

I'll just give you one out of many reasons..FRAUD.

With a delivery, they take it to a physical residence. If that charge ever came back fraudlent, they can say exactly where it was delivered to. If a scammer calls in with a stolen card, and picks it up the business has ZERO idea who the person is.

It is good that the owner asked you to write the review, because it shows that they actually work on protecting their customers from fraudlent card usage...Thanks.

I may have to give them a try now the next time I am in that area, looks like a nice authentic place.
