Complaint Review: National Home Employment Services

I sent an e-mail to skybry@winco.net with my resume in response to their ad or listing in the Home Employment Directory (which I paid $24.95) for Data Entry Clerks. On 2/28/02 I get a response from the same e-mail address directing me to the NHES website.

I went ahead and checked out the NHES website and there I found the option to fill out the application online and paid $29.95 fee by authorizing them to debit my checking account. On 3/1/2002, I received a confirmation of the receipt of my payment and indicated that within 10 business days I should get at least 10 offers from companies that are hiring data entry clerks to work from their homes. Todate, I have not received any e-mail of that sort.

I realize now and understand why their payment option was only through direct debit to your account. The bank cannot just reverse the transaction. You would have to contact NHES to get your money back. If they allow anyone to use a credit card, they know that any transaction can be disputed and credited.
