Nearmyhome.com ought to be ashamed of themselves. You can look up envirionmental hazards near your home on this site, and pay 9.95 for a more detailed report including the address of hazardous sites, owners, what is on the property, and any action that has been taken to clean it up. Well on the "free" report, it showed a "considered for superfund site" on my street. So I ordered the complete report and paid for it. All I recieved was the exact property location. No owner's name, no list of what was on the property, no list of action taken to clean it up. I e-mailed info@altavista to ask them "Is this all I get?". I recieved absolutely no response.

So I decided to take it upon myself to find out what was up with this property. I called the state department of environmental protection and asked what was on the property that made it "considered for superfund status". The woman I spoke with actually LAUGHED that this company was representing site as considered for superfund status (was an aboveground oil tank that leaked a little. I again e-mailed altavista and recieved no response. They took money from me based upon lies that they represented. Go check out the site, the use of skull and crossbones is a nice touch to SCARE YOU INTO GIVING THEM MONEY. So if you see considered for superfund sites near your home save yourself the ten bucks and ignore it......it's all lies.
