I responded to an advertisement to try a new hearing aid offering a pair of hearing aids for $249.00. It was an all in the ear style hearing aid.  Since I have never tried this before, I responded to their AD. 

I received the device but it was much bigger than would fit in my ear. So, I requested a return authorization. Their response was that I have to follow their procedure before I could receive credit to my credit card. That procedure was to purchase the next step up in their line of hearing aids which was more expensive than the ones I received. If I didn't like that one, I could return it and go to the next step up and try that one, which also was more expensive than the last. If I didn't like that one, I could try the next one, etc. Each one becoming more expensive than the last. If after, trying and paying more and more for all their hearing aids, I still didn't like them, then and only then would they refund my money. My only income is Social Security and I cannot afford to keep spending more and more money for something that is not essential to my budget.

Since I refuse to be bull dogged into paying more money to a company that does not stand behind their advertisements, I packaged everything up and sent the entire package back to them. I requested a chargeback from my credit card company who issued a temporary credit. But Nano refused to accept the chargeback and said because I failed to follow their return procedures, credit would not be issued.

They provided this information to my credit card company which after a couple of months, debating back and forth with Nano, my credit card company charged my card back, stating that because I did not follow Nano's return policy, they had no choice but to add the $249 back to my card since I did state that even though I returned the devices, they could not force Nano to accept the chargeback and return my money.

This is the biggest ripoff there is to Seniors and people who have hearing problems. They send you the product and if you don't like them or they don't work for you, you cannot get a refund without paying out more money. You have to go through their cumbersome procedures of trying a different hearing aid that you don't want and then repeat that procedure several more times before they will issue credit.

So now....since I have sent the product back to them, I do not have the product that has been charged to my credit card. And I have to pay for something I don't have.
