In April 2007, I ordered a video telecourse from Multilingual Books and began emailing them after a reasonable amount of time when I hadn't received delivery of the order. I received no response from my emails, so I attempted to phone and then fax my inquiry to them. I could not reach them by either method. I was becoming suspicious, and although I had read positive articles about the company over the internet before ordering, I had forgotten to check with the Better Business Bureau. When I did, I found there had been numerous complaints about the company. With that in mind, and the fact it had been a month since I placed my order, I emailed a cancellation of the order - the only method that seemed to go through.

In July 2007, I received an email from Multilingual Books stating they wanted to charge my account for the order and would deduct a small amount for the delay, and the charge would show up under the name of Tomkins Consulting. I did not respond or accept their offer, since I had already canceled it for the non-delivery and the Better Business Bureau's report.

Yesterday I checked my credit card account via the internet to see if a recent charge had been processed and discovered a charge from Tomkins Consulting had been posted two weeks ago. I immediately contacted my credit card company about the fraudulent charge.
