Morton Cleaners
This takes place in 1985. I took my wedding dress to Morton Cleaners and had some bra pads sown into my wedding dress. A few months later I took it back to Morton Cleaners to have my wedding dress cleaned and preserved ( they were well known for handling wedding dresses & formal attire). I recently opened the sealed box with my dress in it. To my surprise the dress had two yellow staines where they added the bra pads, other then that the dress was perfect. I called Morton Cleaners to find out what happened, only to find out that there are new owners. They told me the pads should have been removed before the dress was preserved. I asked them if I could bring in the dress and see if we could come to a compromise. The girl at the front desk told me she would have the owner call me in a day or two. Two weeks later I had to call and she how come I have not heard from anyone. She told me the owner would call me. Well I had to call again this time the owner was there and she told me there was nothing she could do. That she did not own the cleaners when this took place. Is it true? Did she just except the clientele, the well known name and non of the responsibility.
