Complaint Review: Monti Movers Orlando Florida and Bayamonm Puerto Rico

In November 21st of 2019 i reached out to Monti movers in orlando regarding my move to Puerto Rico. I spoke to a gentleman named Raul who TRIED to inform me of cost etc., I called back and told him i needed to move before the 18th of same month. He started asking what i was taking, which after packing was 98 boxes and Two SUV's.

I asked how long the cars would take and he said four weeks to aarive. I decided to send one by another transport service (Crowley) because it would arrive in three days and not four weeks. The smaller SUV I would  send with them, Monti.. A price was quoted and i agreed. aside from the fact that they wouldnt visit to look at boxes i had packed and give an estimate because i lived in Mississippi.

He Raul asked that i start packing because it would take less time once movers arrived on the 10th. Well they didnt and again i was told and lied about date. apparerently they were going to Texas first to pick up three more customers belongings then would visit me. Well i had to pospone trip home and cancel tickets which cost a bundle. Then i was called and told they would pick up following tuesday 18th, well they arrived the 17th because they finished "early" arrival time at 6:00pm, take it or leave it. Had no choice i was to leave the 18th tickets bought again and confirmed.

They packed till 12:00am. 12:00 am people. Unbeleivable.. Id packed most of my stuff and spent a bundle on packing boxes and papers from Uhaul. everything nicely packed as was told by Raul (Rep) who spoke to me,  so that i would not lose anything. They packed heavy stuff, bedroom, washers and dryers, livingroom and hauled everything into truck. Well my most precious things glassware was  crushed. I had had a three foot ceramic mexican pot, destroyed. all my kitchen and formal dining dishes which were heirloom glass, destroyed.  Radio CD player, destroyed.  Sewing maching destroyed. Tree boxes lost which contained gardening tools and personal items such as bedroom sheets, close to 15 new ones and hubbys personal clothing in their boxes gone.

I called and spoke to offices in bayamon Puerto Rico where they arrived and didn't get an answer till end of March 2020, just send email and videos to salepr@montimoving.com explaining everything  which i did and  because i Guess they got sick of hearing me complain. I was told by a Samuel at the Bayamon office that they wouldn't pay insurance because things broken were packed by me and they would only pay if they had been wrapped by company in theyre boxes.

mind you i was told by Raul in Orlando office to start packing myself so it would make life easier and quicker to move once movers arrived. People, Don"t use this moving Company. MONTI MOVING AND STORAGE ORLANDO please. I lost too much and don't want you to go through this nightmare. Prices were changed about three times by Maricela at Orlando office  whom  i think is the head Honcho in that office.

As a matter of fact, the day I arrived here and on my way home with hubby and son from airport, I receive a call from Maricela saying she had made a mistake and I still owed her $150.00. The car transported by them was more expensive than what i was charged for a bigger Chevy Traverse  SUV that i transported through Crowley Marine Transport which arrived in three days not four weeks and that was a Hyundai SUV.. Please ,please be careful and do not call these people. you will regret it as I and my family have.
