Don't even wasted your time to visit this site: http://www.microcenter.com or come to local store for items that are advertising on the website. Items are not available at all even I was confirmed the item currently in stock over the phone before I had drove long way to store.

I inquired two items below

Ordered: SKU: 498378 and inquired SKU: 739326

Here is the online transcript with Customer Service.

Welcome to www.microcenter.com, BrentF will be right with you.BrentFThank you for contacting Micro Center Online customer support - My name is Brent - How may I help you ?Van HoangHi. How can website have typo in price? Will you have to complete the transaction?BrentFWhich product are you referring to - I can check it for you Van HoangI already completed the transaction but when I came to store, they said it's impossible.Van HoangThe order is under my name: Van HoangVan HoangAlso I called for an item that indicated available at store for pickup, but I came in just 15' later, they said it's never been in stock.Van HoangI'm wondering what kind of business is that? The location of store in San Jose, CaliforniaVan HoangI'm filing false advertisement and report your website.BrentFA few things actually BrentFOne is the online inventory may not always match what is actually on hand at the store - especially when seeing small numbers like one or two Van HoangI want to know how you want to handle this situation if it's you?Van Hoangbut I did call before I came inVan Hoangthey checked the computer and said it's availableVan HoangIt's really waiting my time to come in and simply said it's never been in stock and it's typo.BrentFThe other is that we say to allow up to 24 hours to receive an email about if the item is available to pick up or has been cancelled - this is designed to prevent you from making a trip to the store if it is not thereVan HoangIf it's typo, the store still has to complete the transaction.Van HoangI agreed and I read that, but how's about the item that I inquired before I came.Van HoangHere is one of the item that I order: SKU: 498378Van Hoangand the item that I inquired before I came: SKU: 739326BrentFBoth of those are in the clearance area so if they are listing one or two in stock it is fairly likely they do not have it on handVan HoangIf it's a case, why are they lying and told me to come over to check it out? It's illegal to ads something that store doesn't even have that item in stock.Van HoangIs that the way Microcenter run the business?Van HoangIt's even anywhere, if it's a typo and the store couldn't make that correction right away, they have to sell it at that price for whoever first inquired about it.BrentFNo - but like I said there may be times where inventory simply is wrong - the item could have been sold using a diff part number and so this one still thinks it is there - things like that can happen BrentFI am very sorry about this situation but since the clearance center online is new there are still a few adjustments to be made for it to do what it is supposed to Van Hoangokay, and I should honor for the price that you guys put it there.Van HoangI know that you guys have it in stock.Van HoangThis is serious false advertisementBrentFIf the store has stock and can sell the item in the clearance bin they will of course sell it - but if they do not have actual inventory they can sell then they can not complete the orderVan HoangThey said it's never been in stockVan Hoang..when I came inVan Hoangbut over the phone when I confirmed for the item, they said they have it in stock. What's going on here?

Van, you have to read everything thats on the website, NOT just the inventory level, or rather, what you WANT to see. If you indeed "placed an order for the item", the item would have been pulled for you to pickup in the store. It also states that you will receive a "confirmation email" telling you to come to the store to pick it up. If you call in, the employee that answers the phone sees the same inventory that you see on the website. This is from the website, and it is posted next to the inventory level that you are going on about. If you click the "Explain"....this is what comes up:

"Store Inventory

The inventory shown is specific to the store you've chosen, but does not include items in the purchase process. Although you may be able to place an item in your shopping cart, it may not be available when your order is processed at the store. Please wait for your confirmation email to ensure that your item(s) are available and/or ready for in-store pickup."

So please read everything before you accuse a company of "false advertising", and keep in mind that a closeout item is exactly that... when it is gone...it's gone.
