Megaflex Gym in San Francisco: Don't Let Them Near Your Checking Account *UPDATE Super Fitness the fitness club Toronto Canada same ripoff
My partner and I went in with a coupon saying "only $30 per month with automatic deduction plan". We signed up with myself as the member, with the payments coming out of my partner's checking account.
Months later when we walked in personally to cancel the membership, we were assured the deductions would stop with the next payment. Months went by, still the deductions came. We went in a second time. This time we were again reassured that it would stop. We went in a THIRD time, and it finally stopped, but by then they'd gotten over $200 extra from my partner's account.
In particular an employee named Bill Pittman, a large, muscular man with a superior attitude, was very rude and unresponsive to our complaint. Their first excuse was that the membership was started with the old owners, and they weren't responsible for it therefore. Their second excuse was that it was our own fault for having the membership payments come out of a second person's account.
We have never been compensated for this rip-off.

I had the same thing happened to me with the fitness club.
I live in Toronto and I use to belong to Super Fitness
here (real scum bags).
You have to be sooo careful when you give you void check to ANYBODY. In my case after they REFUSED to cancel my contract I had to block my account because they would not stop taking the money from it After I did that I found that they where still
withdrawing but different amount ( the truth is once they got your void check they can withdraw ANYTHING THEY WANT !!)
To end this ripoff I had to close my account open new one with no links to the previous one .
The lady at the bank had the same thing happened to her
by the same company (SUPER FITNESS , TORONTO) They had taken hundreds from her account months her contract expired.
