I made 2 reservations at Mariott Ankorage for July 14th to July 16th. We reserved 2 rooms, for 2 nights. A family member assaulted me. After this family member was taken of premise by the police, the hotel still thru myself, my husband, and my 12 year old out on the cold and dark streets of Ankorage Alaska. After the manager refused our refund, I reached out to Mariott CEO, Anthony Capuano. I recieved a response from Joshua Ketchabaw, Liaison, Marriott’s Corporate Office of Consumer Affairs. I explained not only did Mariott keep money for services not rendered, they threw out 2 disabled people, along with myself, who is the victim. I explained my husband has Huntingtons disease, and my 12 year old has epilepsy. She actually suffered a seizure when we were out on the Ancorage streets for 4 hours with no where to go. My Ketchabaw said he would call Mariott Ancorage regarding the refund. I explained I have already asked for the refund, and have been refused many times. He called me back and said he stands by the hotels decision- to have our family who are disabled and victims of the attack, thrown out. He also said Mariott supports the hotel's decision not to refund our monies paid.
