On the 14th of March in 2006 we took our 10 year old to the eye doctor in Lubbock, Texas. The exam went well, and the doctor was very pleasant. The process to have my son's perscription filled, via LensCrafters was pleasant too, until it came time for LensCrafters to send us his glasses. We waited, and waited, and waited... NOTHING. We called them on the 23, and the girl said that she had no record of his perscription, and put me on hold for a good 20 minutes, just to be disconnected. I call back, and she says that she found his glasses, sitting in the tray, and that she'd mail them off first thing in the morning, which would have been on Friday the 24th. We call them today, and the manager tells us that her records show that the glasses were mailed on the 21st.

Now, and I asked her this, How could they of been mailed on the 21st when the lady I talked to on the 23rd said she found his glasses, and is sending them out on the 24th? The manager finally admitted that the glasses were lost, and that, basically there is nothing they can do about it. Okay, we paid them cash money, good money, and expect good service, or our money refunded. Not, "Well, there's nothing we can do..." We work hard for our money, and expect honesty, and competence when paying for services! I will never deal with LensCrafters again, but I do want my money back, and my sons perscription sent to me, so we can take to our local place of business that is competent, and honest.

THEY GOT OUR MONEY BACK...

LensCrafters did send us our money back when it was clear that the glasses were lost in the mail. I think this was more the Post office incompetence than LensCrafters. They will get our business again, because they showed good faith.

Thanks,
