Complaint Review: Leathers by Mary Terry

There is a store in one of the below street level shops in the Olde Towne area of Sacramento that is located by sign boards on the street level. Leathers by Mary Terry advertises custom work on all kinds of leather goods, but especially custom biker leathers. My husband and I placed a very small order, for two leather eye patches. We left an old eye patch as a pattern for the propriators and paid for the items in advance. We were assured that our order would be ready in one week. One week later we returned to the shop, and were told that they had not had a chance to get to the project yet. This was the first week of November, 1999. Several phone calls and emails regarding the matter have been made. The last email sent to them questioned their business ethics, and asked if they were members of the better business bureau. A scathing reply of "If your attitude doesn't change, we will not answer you" was the only answer regarding this business transaction that has been received. If you are in the greater Sacramento area, and are looking for a reputable leather worker, I would avoid Leathers by Mary Terry, unless you don't mind getting excuses instead of your paid for merchandise.
