I wish I would have read the below reviews you can find online about these unethical scumbags.  Don't make the mistake of hiring them so they can drag out your case and screw you in the end (pun intended).  These are the kinds of scum that give good lawyers a bad name.  Stay as far away from them as you can!!!!

Complaint 1

After a few years of using this firm for 4-5 different collection cases, sending them many clients as well, allowing them to make money off me, it has come to goodbye. I can not get reply's to a question (Wheres my settlement), no return calls, no return
emails. SO i email the 2 partners directly to express concern and complain, got me no where at all. They to no doubt do not care a bit about this customer/client, only money. It is sad but true. I will never again use this firm and will also never again refer
a client to them either. The reply from the one partner said it all. Ice Cold and no compassion or concern for this client. Perhaps they have grown to big for us normal average people? Farewell

When I contacted them they called and said they would take my case. I was told they would draft a complaint and file it in Federal Court. So I agree to this. The only problem is they never filed it with the court. Instead they contacted the Debt collector and worked out a settlement. They ended up receiving almost $2500 which settled in less than two months. They claimed to have almost 13 hours of time. I very doubt this to be true. When I argued about the Beans amount I was to receive here is the response I gotten in return. To have a chance to recover the entire $1,000 you would have had to sit for a deposition (1-4 hours), appear at a settlement conference (1-4 hours) and then be present and testify at trial (1-2 days), simply for a mere possibility of recovering a few hundred dollars more. You could win less or even something nominal like $1.00. They failed to represent me under State Law, There are State Law Protections in almost all States that cover Debt Collectors. I had a friend who hired a debt collection lawyer in my state, that attorney filed in Federal Court here, She didn't have to sit for a deposition, she didn't have to appear at a settlement conference, she didn't have to be present and testify at trial, and she recover like $1300.00. Her attorney recovered $2400.00 which $350 was court filing fee. time it took less than 2 months. Hourly attorney fee's $170.00. Krohn and Moss they tell you one thing but do something entirely different. They never have any intentions on filing with the court. Which is my opinion, freedom of speech. Signup for an account with www.pacer.gov and see how many cases they have filed in Federal Court, Also lookup Business courts in the state in which you live for public access to see how many cases they filed. There is no way they had 13 hours in my case. They settle a case for example $4000.00 and all they give you is $300.00 to $500.00 because they are greedy. I would check with my States Bar or speak to a Malpractice Attorney to see if you have a case against them, Also make sure they are licensed in your State of residents.

Krohn and Moss took more than a year to retrieve monetary damages of $500 for a defective laptop but in the end received thousands of dollars by dragging out the process for their benefit, not ours. If your lemon law item is small, such as in our case, do not use their service. They have a MINIMUM litigation fee of $2650.00 regardless of how little time initially is spent on your case. This mandatory fee was never mentioned verbally by an attorney or representative until the litigant in our case made their first offer. Furthermore all the emails and initial paperwork, states "NO ATTORNEY'S FEE'S EVER" which is extremely misleading. By the time we realized that, it was too late. We could not stop the legal process because Krohn and Moss threatened us with the entire $2,650.00 fee, even though all they had done was write a demand letter and had a few phone consultations. PLEASE READ the small print! This law firm knows how to work the system under CA law for their benefit, not the consumers. All we asked for in resolution was for Krohn and Moss to change their procedures so no other consumer will have to experience the nightmare we did. However, Krohn and Moss repeatedly denies (lies) any wrong doing even though they mislead us as consumers by stating over and over again "NO ATTORNEY'S FEE'S EVER". If what happened to us was unintentional by this company or if we were just an exception, they would not continue to lie. The BBB states our complaint was resolve satisfactory, it was not. Because of this, we've also had to also file a complaint with the California State Bar Association and this investigation is ongoing as of 10/31/10. My husband and I continue to pursue this matter law firms who charge predatory fee's are held accountable.
