Complaint Review: kmk Interiors

Brian Richmond from KmK Interiors quoted me $8121.58 to do the drywall ($2300), and floors ($5800) in my basement. they told me it would take 2 weeks. I paid them $4060.79 down. 4 weeks into it they still had not finished the drywall, I actually reduced the area that was to be drywalled, and Brian said they would not finish the work unless I paid them an additional $1300 that day. I told them no and I no longer want to work with them because they were trying to extort me. Now they will not return any of the money I already paid them and claim that they bought flooring materials already and can’t return them.

I offered them 3 options. 

1. They refund me $2000 since they had not even finished the drywall portion. 

2. Reduce the $2000 refund by the price of the flooring materials and provide me with a receipt showing the cost or

3. I was going to sue them in small claims court. They told me they would see me in court.
