Complaint Review: KLH Audio Systems - Curcuit City

Last Christmas (2002) I purchased 2 KHL digital dvd home theater systems for my home. One was set-up at the end of January and the other was set up end of February. By the end of April both DVD players were not working. I notified Curcuit City and they said they would not warrantee it because 90 days had passed. In the meantime I had heard of three other people from my area that the same thing happened to with a KHL home theater system. This made me more determined to get the matter resolved. I then contacted the company KHL and was told since the warrantee period had expired that it would cost me an initial repair fee of $39.95 each. That was without the repairs. This even though I told them I had 2 broken systems and knew of 3 other persons in the same predicament. Asking for the supervisor, I believe his name was Mike, I was transferred. After explaining my problem he said he would look into it and would call me back. I am still awaiting that phone call and still have 2 DVD players that are useless. This leaves both my husband and my daughter presentless from last Christmas. To say the least they are both upset especially my daughter who feels like she got nothing for Christmas. I am not in the financial position to repurchase a replacement on either.

Along with the company itself, Curcuit City which carried this product and has to be aware of the defectiveness and substandard quality of the product, offered no help in solving the problem and dropped it in my lap with not so much as a second thought. BUYER BEWARE.
WARNING: Do not buy anything from this company. Not only is it the poorest of quality but it is backed by the worst customer service satisfaction I have ever dealt with.
