I was contacted by a gentleman by the name of John Queeley, who claimed to be a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual. This man was a very smooth talker, and I thought he was genuinely looking out for my best interests as he built a relationship with me. He claimed to be a youth soccer coach, and spoke of his family a lot. All the things to build trust.

Apparently he was lying the whole time. I came to find out that he had actually been pocketing all the money I sent. The services I thought I was paying for through Northwestern Mutual, never existed.

When I reached out to Northwestern Mutual directly, they let me know they had no record of any of the products or services I had bought through any representative.

After I found this out from Northwestern Mutual, all attempts to contact John went unanswered. Northwestern Mutual let me know there was nothing they could do to help me, as I was never a customer in their system. I feel ashamed that I fell into this type of a scam.

Looking back on all our interactions, I should have seen the red flags, but it’s hard to know who to trust these days. John claimed to be on the inner circle with well known, influential people. People that he would connect me with to help out my own business ventures. Again, the namedropping he used should have been a red-flag, but if he did actually know who he said he knew…it would have been huge for my business.

It was easy to get caught up in the hype, and John played me. He took advantage of my eagerness to get ahead in life, and protect my assets for my family.

John is very well spoken, and educated. He is very likeable, and will draw you in. My only hope with putting this story out there is to protect other people.

This type of individual is very dangerous and cannot be trusted. He is praying on people. If he reaches out to you about anything to do with Financial Services, do yourself a favor and politely decline!
